Dr Jacob Mathai
Dr Mathai graduated from Kerala university, India in 1988, then went on to study a post-graduate qualification in Orthopaedics in 1992.
Dr Mathai moved to South Africa in 1993 and worked for the following eight years gaining experience in trauma and musculoskeletal medicine. He obtained FRCS Edinburgh in 2000. In 2001, Dr Mathai relocated to Australia and started at Northern Bay Health in 2004. Dr Mathai obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2007.
Dr Mathai's special interests include trauma and musculoskeletal medicine and he teaches medical students and is a supervisor for Registrars.
Jacob enjoys travel, outdoor activities, yoga, tennis, badminton, cycling and walking, and spends his leisure time with family and friends.
