Clinic Doctors

Dr Bogacki is currently working in Corio and seeing patients with Chronic Disease, Womens & Mens health, and family medicine.  Dr Bogacki is committed to making a difference to our patient’s health outcomes.

Graduated Batchelor of Medicine, Batchelor of Surgery from Aberdeen University Medical School, Scotland.

Achieved membership with the Royal College of General Practitioners UK 1987. Spent 8 years as a Medical Officer in RAF with the last posting being a Senior Medical Officer in the frontline fighter station.

Returned to a rural GP practice in Scotland as a senior partner for 25 years before emigrating to Australia in 2011 and began working at Corio Medical Clinic.
I enjoy all aspects if General practice with an interest in Child Health.

Mark graduated as a doctor from Monash University in 1984 and has lived in the Geelong region since 1985.

He received further training at Geelong Hospital, the Royal Women’s Hospital and Austin Hospital.

He has completed post-graduate studies in Family Medicine, Sports Medicine, Complementary Medicine and Management.

He is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Melbourne and has a special interest in diabetes and chronic disease.

He has been teaching medical students and young GPs for over 20 years and is regularly asked to speak at National and International conferences to GPs and specialists on topics such as diabetes and other chronic illness.

He has sat on and continues to sit on numerous boards and committees at the local, state, national and international level relating to health, education or Government.

Graduated from Kerala university, India in 1988 and obtained a post-graduate qualification in Orthopaedics from the same university in 1992. Worked in South Africa from 1993 to 2001 gaining experience especially in trauma and musculoskeletal medicine. Jacob obtained FRCS Edinburgh in 2000. Moved to Australia in 2001 and has worked at Northern Bay Health since 2004. Jacob obtained his FRACGP in 2007. His special interests are trauma and musculoskeletal medicine. Jacob is a supervisor for our Registrars and also teaches medical students. Jacob enjoys travel, outdoor activities, yoga, tennis, badminton, cycling and walking. He spends his leisure time with family and friends.

Director of Causality at PANCH 1978

Came to Geelong in 1983 while maintaining interest & working part time in Emergency Medicine until the early 1990’s.

Since then in General Practice in Geelong, primarily in the Norlane & Corio area, with a special interest in Skin Cancer diagnosis and surgery.

Dr Mekhael is currently working in Corio and seeing patients with Chronic Disease, Womens & Mens health, and family medicine.  Dr Mekhael is committed to making a difference to our patient’s health outcomes.

Family medicine GP with special interest in Womens Health. Graduated with honours from Monash University, trained at Geelong hospital and has additional degrees in obstetrics, integrative medicine and family medicine. Mandy has worked with the Corio community for over thirty years and enjoys aspects of family medicine from pregnancy to old age.

As a senior GP Supervisor, Mandy is also dedicated to mentoring and teaching medical students and doctors in training.

Dr Osman is currently working in Corio and seeing patients with Chronic Disease, Womens & Mens health, and family medicine.  Dr Osman is committed to making a difference to our patient’s health outcomes.

Jonneka graduated from Monash University in 2006 and trained in Ballarat and Geelong Hospital for her pre-fellowship years. Jonneka has worked in General Practice since 2009 and has gained her fellowship of the RACGP. Lives locally in Geelong and enjoys the region for its outdoor spaces an close proximity to the beach. Jonneka works part time and during her hours away from work cares for her young family.

Highly motivated GP with 10 years of GP/Family Medicine experience. Special interests Womens Health, Chronic Disease, Immunisation, Dermatology, Research and Medical education, Womens Health specialising in IUD’s and Implanons.

Professional certificate in Skin Cancer and National Certificate in Sexual Reproductive Health – theory component.

Graduated in Medicine from India and moved to United Kingdom in 2004 and worked in Emergency and General Medicine. Arrived in Australia in 2006 and worked as Medical Registrar for few years. Working as General Practitioner for last 8 years and finished Fellowship Royal Australian College of General Practice (FRACGP). Interested in General medicine in particular Respiratory Medicine, Minor procedures, Chronic Disease Management. I enjoy Music during my free time.

MBBS, Dip Obstet COG(SA), FRACGP

Born in Cape Town, South Africa.

Graduated from the Medical Faculty in Gdansk, Poland, whilst also working in Sweden.

Obtained the Diploma in Obstetrics whilst studying Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Groote Schuur, Cape Town.

Obtained the FRACGP whilst working in rural NSW, doing deliveries, surgery, anaesthetics, emergency care, hospital work & GP work.

Moved to Geelong in 2009 & am currently doing all aspects of Women’s Health, Child health, Mental health, minor surgery & normal GP work.

Dr. Colin Knight has cared for the health of the Geelong community for over 15 years, working as an Advanced Life Support Paramedic before graduating with his MBBS from Deakin Medical School.

As a doctor at Geelong hospital he worked for three years in the Surgical, Medical and Children’s teams, and completed a 6-month Emergency medicine qualification prior to completing his General Practice training and attaining RACGP Fellowship.

Colin enjoys all areas of General Practice, and is focussed on the health and wellbeing of all of his patients. When not at work, Colin is kept away from his many sporting interests by his three busy young girls. He looks forward to helping you and your family.

Jenny graduated from Deakin University at Waurn Ponds. Following 3 years as a Hospital Medical Officer, she is thoroughly enjoying the diversity and continuity of General Practice.

Jenny has a special interest in Women’s Health, Children’s Health, Mental Health and Diabetes.

Jenny works on a Monday & Wednesday.

Dr Gurvinder joins our team as a very experienced general practitioner. Dr Gurvindar has been working in the surf coast for some time and is passionate about his patients and their health.
 
Dr Gurvinder is working Wednesday, Thursday and Sundays at our Corio Clinic.

Registrars

Siobhan graduated from James Cook University in 2017, working in North Queensland prior to moving to Geelong in 2019.

Siobhan obtained the Emergency Medicine Certificate and Diploma of Child Health in 2019. Currently enjoy providing care in all aspects of general practice including Womens Health, Mental Health , Chronic Disease Management and LGBTQI Health.

Daniel has joined our team on a 12-month Registrar placement.
 
Daniel has lived in Geelong all his life and has been working at Barwon Health for the past two years. His passion is providing quality healthcare to the people of Geelong and Greater Geelong areas.

Rebecca joins our team at Corio Medical & Plantation Medical Clinic as a new Registrar on a 12-month placement.

Aditi is joining us on a 12 month placement as a registrar.
 
Aditi lives in Geelong and is passionate about our community and community health outcomes.
 
She has been working at Barwon Health for many years and also draws on her experience from working in hospitals interstate and rural Victoria.

Diabetes Educator / Nurse Practitioner

We welcome on board our Diabetic Nurse Practitioner Elizabeth Kinnersly ( Liz ).
 
Liz will be running our diabetes education and management for all our diabetic patients.
All patients can see Liz under a Medicare Bulk Billing Item or TCA management plan.
 
Liz has a wealth of experience in diabetes:
  • Experienced in initial diagnosis education and ongoing management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, steroid induced and gestational diabetes.
  • Able to provide post discharge care to recently hospitalised patients.
  • Providing advice in sharps management, supply of blood glucose meters, weekly review of blood glucose,
  • hypoglycaemia education, injectable education, storage of medicines, driving and hypoglycaemic agents, dose titration and planning and managing sick days.
  • Group diabetes education courses.
A Diabetic Nurse Practitioner can also assist in writing prescriptions and order pathology tests during your consult with Liz.
